Nutmeg & Ginger is where Jo Malone London began: the house describes it simply as its first fragrance. It begins with the idea of seasoning sandalwood and cedarwood with spice.
Ginger sits at the top with a sharp, tingling heat, like a freshly cut root. Nutmeg follows in the heart, drier and more earthy, closer to a grated spice than a sweet one.
Sandalwood forms the base, its warm, creamy wood folding around both spices so that the edges soften on skin. After the sharp ginger fades, the dry warmth of nutmeg stays with the woods.
