A clean musk built on the memory of an old-fashioned bar of soap, with aldehydes, lavender and cedarwood.
Musk Memento starts from a humble object: a traditional bar of soap. Part of Jo Malone London's limited 2024 collection inspired by memory-laden finds at British antique markets, it aims for the nostalgia and comfort that a familiar soap carries.
Aldehydes give the opening its crisp, just-washed brightness, with a sprinkle of English lavender alongside. Cedarwood forms the heart, neat and elegant.
White musk sits at the base, soft and close to the skin. Céline Roux, the brand's Global Head of Fragrance, has said the collection grew from the whole experience of antiquing, from high-end shops to car boot sales, and the stories behind old objects.
