Dark Amber & Ginger Lily takes its cue from a trail of incense rising during a sacred Japanese ritual. At its centre is kyara, the rare wood at the heart of Kohdo, the formal art of appreciating incense.
Black cardamom opens with warm, aromatic smoke, and ginger brings a fresh edge to the smoke. In the heart, black orchid shades a bouquet of water lily and jasmine, bringing a darker, more sensual quality to the flowers.
The base pairs kyara with dark amber. The amber adds warmth and a soft, rounded sweetness, while the wood keeps the whole composition calm and grounded.
