L'Iris de Fath Eau de Parfum is a brand-new formula of its own, separate from the extrait, composed by Patrice Revillard. The house describes it as floral, woody and fruity, a composition that challenges the aura of the extract.
Its iris is made with Firmenich's Orriscience technology, which enhances the natural development of irone, the molecule behind iris's characteristic scent, inside the rhizome. The material brings out the powdery, woody and violet-like facets associated with the root.
Violet Leaf Absolute, Bergamot and Peach open with a gentle green brightness softened by fruit. The heart layers Iris Butter with Egyptian jasmine, Turkish rose and violet, while lilac, carnation and ylang-ylang add floral warmth.
Bourbon vetiver, benzoin, tonka bean and musk make up the base. benzoin's smoothness and tonka's sweetness rest on earthy vetiver, with musk giving soft depth on skin.
