Treffpunkt 8 Uhr means "meeting point, 8 o'clock", and the house says the excitement of a date hidden in that name could hardly be put into scent more clearly. It is framed as a memory of Berlin flirtations and love affairs.
In the brand's telling, this vetiver scent stood for the legendary art-scene nights of 1920s Berlin. It was known then as a sporty men's fragrance, which did not stop Josephine Baker from wearing it herself to celebrate the city's glamour.
Today it is presented as unisex. A fresh ginger and mango accord brightens the top, and a vetiver heart anchors the base with earthy, rooty bitterness. Sage and autumn crocus also appear among the notes, adding a herbal green edge to the fruit.
