Bamboo Eau de Parfum
Orange blossom and bergamot brighten a smoother bouquet of ylang-ylang, lily and jasmine, with sandalwood and vanilla adding a calmer woody warmth.
Perfumer: Frank Voelkl
Creamier ylang-ylang and brighter lily give Bamboo Eau de Parfum the feeling of a bouquet caught in a gentle breeze. The floral woody composition connects that softness to the calmer depth of sandalwood. Inspired by the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag, its design carries the bag's distinctive handle into a silver bamboo-shaped cap. Gucci credits Frank Vöelkl as the perfumer for the current fragrance. Citrus provides a fresher entrance, but the central interest lies in the smooth texture of the flowers and the warmer wood that supports them.
Italian orange blossom and bergamot open the composition, placing a softer floral impression against a clearer citrus outline. Ylang-ylang accord brings a creamier character to the heart, where lily notes and jasmine accord extend it into a fuller bouquet. Sandalwood accord then adds woody warmth and depth in the base. Vanilla accord rounds its edges, connecting the brighter flowers to a gentler sweetness without losing the underlying wooden shape.
Consider it when a soft blouse or a neatly cut jacket calls for a rounder floral detail. It also offers an option for someone who wants fresh citrus to continue towards quieter woods. The 50mL bottle shows its pale pink interior through faceted glass. Cuts across the shoulders and base frame a central diamond shape, catching the light around the liquid. The jointed silver bamboo cap and black front lettering add a more precise finish to the clear container.
