Under My Skin
Iris butter softens leather and animalic notes in a perfume about human intimacy.
Perfumer: Francesca Bianchi
A friend’s impression that the perfume seemed to emerge from the skin helped give Under My Skin its name. Bianchi moved from experiments with stronger animalic effects toward a softer leathery, powdery expression.
Iris butter moderates the leather and animalic notes. Tolu balsam, Peru balsam, tonka bean and woods add warmth, while grapefruit and lavender supply brightness. The composition focuses on a velvety, human impression of intimacy.
