Encounters grows from Bianchi’s interest in cultures meeting and producing new forms. Iris and oud are her chosen materials for that exchange between Western and Eastern references.
Soft, powdery iris butter meets rose, angelica and cinnamon. Oud, castoreum, woods and balsams add leathery, smoky and animalic facets. The composition places a refined floral texture within a darker setting, making their interaction the central subject.
