Blushing Sands
Haitian vetiver brightened by pink pepper and softened by a musk accord, in a luminous woody vetiver inspired by rose-tinted sand.
Perfumer: Clément Gavarry
Blushing Sands begins with an image: walking slowly across sand washed in a soft rose tint. Estée Lauder frames the scent as a journey to an oasis that feels as dreamlike as midnight and as fleeting as dawn.
Its center is vetiver from Haiti, a material with a calm, dry depth that recalls wood and earth. Pink pepper is set against it, adding a tingling bite and a light sparkle that keeps the woody base from settling into heaviness.
Another pillar is a musk accord. Its softness smooths the edges between vetiver and pepper and lends a warmth that sits close to the skin. Estée Lauder places the fragrance in the Warm Wood family, with a Woody Vetiver character.
Described as a pairing of luminous woods and fresh spice, it reads as a woody scent that leans toward light rather than shadow. The warmth and sensuality of that rosy landscape are expressed through contrast: the depth of vetiver against the brightness of pepper.
