Pistachio was made on a whim, as a fragrance with no story. To its creator, pistachio is an elegant nut and a fun one, and the aim was simply to evoke that fun, especially as a dessert flavor. It first appeared as a Studio Juice limited to 100 bottles, and the response earned it a place in the line.
The note list carries the same humor: pistachio on top, "more pistachio" in the heart and "even more pistachio" in the base, surrounded by cardamom and raw sugar, roasted almond and patchouli, warm musk and vanilla crème. The brand describes its pistachio note as a dessert note capturing pistachio-flavored sweets, a close cousin to cherry and almond. The creator calls the result dank and unabashedly sweet, something outside their usual habit.
The perfume oil is a 10 mL roll-on. D.S. & Durga positions it as a way to keep a gourmand, which can overwhelm a room as a spray, within range of only those close to you.
