Syrinx
A Greek-myth-inspired meeting of forest flowers and Mediterranean salt air, with lilac, daphne, seaweed and bay leaf.
Perfumer: Dawn Spencer Hurwitz
Inspired by the reed pipe of Greek myth, Syrinx pictures flowers blooming in a forest as salt air arrives from the Mediterranean. The soft sweetness of lilac and daphne meets the green, slightly bitter impressions of seaweed and bay leaf, bringing a coastal atmosphere to the flowers. Released in April 2019, it followed Bejmat and Taj Garden as the final chapter of a trilogy on purification. Its inspiration turns towards a landscape held in happy memories. The contrast between forest and sea becomes a gentle, romantic floral composition, with the botanical notes described at its launch offering further detail within that imagined setting.
