Orchid

Orchid grew from a study of orchid scents by the New York Botanical Garden’s horticulturists and Laurent Le Guernec. Dozens were evaluated before a smaller selection was chosen for fragrance capture. Recreated Cattleya scent from unpicked flowers meets fruit and sweeter texture, evoking the richer presence of opening theatre curtains.

Bergamot and fresh Nashi pear create a brighter opening. Cattleya orchid and freesia form a softer floral centre. Crystallized vanilla and sheer musk follow, supporting the richer flowers with sweeter, smoother texture. Fruit light and softer blooms resonate together within the composition.

Consider it for a more dressed-up outing or when flowers should gain gentler fruit and vanilla. Introduced in 2023, it is presented as Perfume by the house. The illustrated 60mL bottle has short cylindrical glass, a deep-green sculpted cap, pale colour, embossing and a thick clear base.
