Nebulous
Rose, oud and amber evoke nebulae and mist through smoky and softly powdery textures.
Perfumer: Christian Provenzano
Nebulous takes inspiration from indistinct mist and the nebulae in which stars are born. Rose, oud and amber sit at the centre, surrounded by saffron, violet and musks. Together they suggest softer flowers appearing within a darker, hazier setting.
Saffron, pink pepper, cinnamon, raspberry and aniseed form the top. Warmer spices meet the tart sweetness of fruit and a more herbal expression. Impressions recalling medicinal herbs and bitter drinks also contribute to the character of the opening, developing the ambiguity of the fragrance's misty theme.
Violet, rose, geranium and tuberose make up the heart. Fuller flowers meet a softer, powdery texture, giving the impression of flowers emerging through smoke. The floral character develops around the rose at the centre of the composition.
Musk, amber, oud, cypriol, sandalwood, benzoin, cistus labdanum and vanilla form the base. Wood and resinous depth meet sweetness, leading into the softer expression of flowers and musks. The composition develops its nebula imagery through smoke, flowers and warmer woods, connecting a more spiced and herbal opening with the darker textures of its base.
