Ice Twist is presented by Boadicea the Victorious as a scent with the character of an English aristocrat, built around the art of being a gentleman. The house describes sweet, floral and boozy accords layered over deeper, more daring notes.
The top lists bergamot, cassis, cognac, red berries and rum. Bright citrus meets the tart dark fruit of cassis and the sweetness of red berries, while cognac and rum round them with the warmth of aged spirits.
Magnolia and wormwood form the heart. The smooth floral tone is crossed by the bitter, green herbal edge of wormwood, which keeps the fruit and liquor from becoming too sweet.
The base holds amber, musks, raspberry and vanilla. The berry thread continues as raspberry, now settled into warm amber and vanilla with soft musk, leaving a sweet trail. Fruit and spirit sweetness meet a bitter herbal edge before the warm finish.
