Envious

Ylang-ylang and mandarin illuminate a fuller bouquet of tuberose, rose and jasmine. Orange blossom brightens the flowers, while vanilla, benzoin and vetiver give the composition a warmer, more grounded finish.

Envious places a brighter citrus outline around a fuller white-floral heart. Created by Christian Provenzano and released in 2020, the fragrance connects the sweeter, smoother character of ylang-ylang to the density of tuberose and jasmine. Boadicea the Victorious associates it with both a queen's floral splendour and a warrior's strength. Woods and resins beneath the bouquet give its softer sweetness a more grounded counterpart, allowing the flowers to feel generous without defining the whole composition through sweetness alone.

Bergamot, mandarin and orange bring freshness to the opening, accompanied by sage and ylang-ylang. Indian tuberose, Damask rose, orange blossom and jasmine form the heart. Orange blossom introduces a brighter thread through the creamier flowers. Amber and musk support the base, where vetiver adds a drier wooden impression beside the warmer softness of benzoin and vanilla. Cashmere contributes a smoother texture. The official narrative also refers to lemon brightness as an element around the rich flowers, extending that fresher contrast within the overall composition.

Consider it with a softer fabric dress or a fluid shirt when a more substantial floral detail feels right. An early evening meal also offers a setting for its combination of richness and quieter warmth. The rounded 100mL glass bottle reveals a pale yellow-green interior. A silver cap and a circular shield with Celtic patterns give the softer liquid colour a more precise frame. A thick clear glass foot completes the substantial, rounded presentation.
