Grand Chalet
A tribute to the linden tree at Balthus’s Alpine home, with honeyed, milky flowers and pale wood and vanilla facets.
Perfumer: Françoise Caron
Grand Chalet pays tribute to the old linden tree in the garden of painter Balthus's studio in the Swiss Alps. Françoise Caron and the Takasago perfume team give the scent he loved the form of a cologne.
Linden blossom brings a soft sweetness recalling honey and milk, touched with a little lemon. Mimosa, green leaves and bergamot add the brightness and greenness of a garden around the flower.
Heliotrope, sandalwood and musk support that smooth character, followed by the impression of pale wood and vanilla. The composition invites the memory of fragrant flowers under a broad tree's shade. It offers a gentle way to enjoy floral sweetness together with the freshness of a cologne.
