No Scrubs
A floral woody amber about turning down a sweet invitation, with rose and cherry held in check by black pepper, clove and smoky patchouli.
The narrator of No Scrubs' concept text turns down a sweet invitation and walks alone. On a Christmas night of wet snow, a smile behind cigarette smoke, a bewitching gaze and clever words nearly sway them, but once the smoke fades they can see where it leads. Their heart dries out and refuses, keeping an unshakable core, while a quiet flame rises and white breath escapes on a walk through a crimson night.
AHRES classes the scent as a floral woody amber and names dignified strength and an allure that does not flatter as its character. Like every AHRES fragrance, it comes with an original soundtrack by an artist.
Rose, black pepper and cherry form the top, so lush rose, peppery heat and ripe fruit sweetness arrive together. Cassis and raspberry in the middle add fruity tartness, and clove brings spice warmth.
Patchouli, sandalwood and musk make up the base. Smoky patchouli and the density of the wood hold the sweet fruit in check. The perfume uses cherry's sweetness without turning coy, an attitude that mirrors a narrator who will not be swayed.
