Senzaragione
Inspired by the moment Eros's arrow strikes and reason gives way, Senzaragione opens with cherry, moves through marine notes and sandalwood, and settles into a warm base of benzoin, amber and musk.
Senzaragione takes its theme from a mythic moment: no creature escapes Eros's arrow, and once it strikes, reason gives way and only instinct remains. The name itself reads in Italian as "without reason," and the house frames the scent as a kiss that disarms reason.
Cherry stands alone at the top, so the first impression is a direct, fruity sweetness. The heart then pairs marine notes with sandalwood: a cool, airy, sea-like freshness against smooth, balsamic wood. Agatho Parfum links this stage to the image of sun-kissed skin, and the contrast between fruit, water and wood is what gives the composition its shape.
The base gathers benzoin, amber and musk. Benzoin brings a resinous sweetness close to vanilla, amber adds warmth, and musk keeps the finish soft and skin-like, settling the brightness of the cherry into something rounder. Cherry leads into marine freshness and then the warmth of woods and resins, moving through several different textures.
