Posh ice cream and an aperitivo hour spilling onto the street set the scene for Double Scoop. Abel imagined a long, hazy urban summer day, expressed through vanilla with a savoury edge.
Isaac Sinclair paired vanilla's creaminess with the nutty saltiness of Japanese toasted black sesame oil. North African rosemary supplies an unexpected aromatic brightness, with herbal and slightly balsamic facets. Sesame both heightens the impression of sweetness and holds it in check.
A butterscotch heart leads into soft vanilla and musk. Madagascar vanilla absolute and biotech vanillin build the milky texture of the vanilla accord. The finish keeps the character of toasted sesame and herbs within its creamy sweetness.
