Yuzu & Cedarwood
Tangy, gently sweet and bitter yuzu contrasts with dry, resinous cedarwood and a smoky wood nuance in a citrus-woody cologne.
Perfumer: Angéline Leporini
Yuzu & Cedarwood builds its character around the contrast between bright citrus and a drier wood texture. 4711 takes attention to the present moment as the inspiration for this Acqua Colonia creation. The eau de cologne sets the livelier fruit character of yuzu against the clearer outline of resinous cedarwood, giving freshness a woody counterpart.
Yuzu brings light tanginess, gentle sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Cedarwood supplies dry, green and resinous nuances, with a smoky impression described in the perfumer’s account of the composition. These facets sit alongside one another: the fruit provides brightness, while the wood adds another texture and a more defined character. The contrast gives the citrus a little more depth.
Consider it while getting ready in the morning or heading to work, when you want refreshing fruit with dry wood. The 100mL bottle combines transparent relief-patterned glass with a deep green front label. Gold-coloured lettering and a cap, with the substantial base, complete the quieter colour scheme of this citrus and wood pairing.
