About Sophie Truitard

Sophie Truitard is a French perfumer based in Grasse, working as a senior fine-fragrance perfumer at MANE. Her compositions connect the character of flowers and the texture of leather with impressions of landscape and touch, offering different ways to turn a sensory starting point into a fragrance.

Career

She studied at ISIPCA and developed her professional career at MANE. Her work includes fragrances for the Brazilian market, and her Forum creation Catwalk received the Best Feminine Latin American Perfumery Creation award at the Atualidade Cosmética ceremony in 2017. Her current work in Grasse brings this experience to projects for different fragrance and beauty brands.

Creative Style & Philosophy

For Jour 8, she brought jasmine and leather together around the meeting of tactile and olfactory experiences. Mimosa Verveine instead takes a day in the Tanneron hills as its starting point, from a fresher morning to the warmth of sunlight on mimosa flowers. These works suggest an interest in flowers as part of a wider sensory setting, where temperature, touch and the surrounding air can shape their expression.

Signature Works

  • *Jour 8*: A Majouri fragrance connecting jasmine and leather with a richer impression of texture and sensory immersion.
  • *Catwalk*: A Forum fragrance created at MANE, recognised with a feminine fragrance creation award in 2017.
  • *Mimosa Verveine*: A L’Occitane fragrance pairing mimosa-covered hills with fresher verbena to evoke the winter sunlight of Provence.
