About Louise Farina

Louise Farina works in fragrance development as the ninth generation of the Farina family in Cologne. Trained in perfumery, she brings new concepts to a house whose identity is closely connected with the history of Eau de Cologne. Her work spans both the inherited collection and fragrances conceived for a new generation.

Career

She grew up visiting the family shop with her father and studied chemistry in Cologne before undertaking specialist training at ISIPCA in Versailles. Based at the historic Farina House, she works across product development, fragrance evaluation and communication, moving between the office and atelier as projects take shape.

Creative Style and Philosophy

Her creative work starts with memories and a clear idea of the scene a fragrance should express. She develops that direction with Nicola Pozzani and evaluates trials with perfumers at MANE. The perfumers compose the formulas, while Farina communicates the concept and refines its expression through repeated evaluation. This collaborative approach carries family experience into new compositions.

Signature Works

  • *Jasmin Méditerranée* draws on her memory of an outdoor dinner in southern Italy after a day by the sea, with jasmine and tomato leaves in the evening air.
  • *Mandarine Bonheur* takes freshly pressed juice on a Sicilian street as its starting point, expressing that everyday pleasure through mandarin fruit at three stages of ripeness.
