About Christophe Laudamiel
A French perfumer and artist with studios in Berlin, New York, and Tokyo, known for avant-garde compositions spanning commercial fragrances, olfactory installations, and fine art.
Career
After honing his craft at Procter & Gamble and IFF, he founded his own studio, DreamAir, and joined Osmo as Master Perfumer in 2023, bringing composition experience to its work on scent and AI. He is also renowned for co-creating the scent track for the film *Perfume: The Story of a Murderer*.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Laudamiel pushes beyond traditional perfumery, integrating technology to craft novel scent structures. A vocal advocate for ethical use of natural ingredients, he founded the Perfume Code of Ethics to promote transparency and responsibility in the industry.
His training in chemistry runs alongside an interest in scent as an artistic medium. Rather than treating the bottle as the only possible setting for a composition, he has worked with galleries, museums and technologies for presenting fragrance in space. Scientific investigation and artistic collaboration meet in this wider practice.
