Beverley Bayne is a British perfumer whose long career has been closely associated with CPL Aromas. She combines a practical laboratory understanding with an artist’s interest in mood, using fragrance to translate a client’s words and emotions into something immediately legible on skin.
Career
Her entry into perfumery was almost accidental. Looking for laboratory work, she became an assistant in a fragrance lab, discovered the fascination of raw materials, and was offered the chance to train as a perfumer. That apprenticeship grew into more than thirty-five years in the industry, including a broad range of British fine-fragrance and bespoke briefs in which listening to the client is as important as technical control.

Bayne begins with the emotional centre of an idea rather than treating notes as a decorative checklist.
