About Son Venïn

Son Venïn is an independent perfume house based in Oslo, Norway, bringing Nordic culture into niche fragrances made for an international audience. Its headquarters and refill service sit in the city centre.

History

Founded in Oslo in 2016, the house was started by Dag Laska, whose background lies in identity design rather than perfumery. The brand frames perfume as the opposite of visual design: invisible, yet able to unlock memories and connections. The search for raw materials led the brand to southern France, where it began working with experienced perfumers to turn its ideas, memories and visual references into finished compositions.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Son Venïn draws on Scandinavian thinking, personal memories and a democratic mindset, pairing them with a continental approach to perfumery and inspiration gathered from places around the world. Formulas range from pure expressions of around thirty components to richer blends of around seventy, and every scent is offered without gender labels, leaving wearers to decide for themselves. The perfumes contain no added colourants, the spray fragrances are vegan and cruelty-free, and scent, bottle and packaging are conceived as one coherent idea.

Iconic Fragrances (or Did You Know?)

Posthume won an Art and Olfaction Award, which the Institute for Art and Olfaction described as the first win for a perfume created in Norway. Pain Nouveau, Santal Super and Pur 01 sit alongside it in a collection that moves between quiet simplicity and more layered, complex depth.
