About FENDI

FENDI is an Italian luxury house from Rome. Its universe spans fur, leather goods, bags, couture, jewelry, and fragrance, with Roman identity, family memory, and the transformation of fine materials at the center of the brand.

History

Adele Casagrande and Edoardo Fendi established the house in Rome in 1925, beginning with a handbag shop and fur workshop. The five Fendi sisters later expanded the business, while the collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld began in 1965 and lasted fifty-four years. Silvia Venturini Fendi joined him in artistic direction in 1992 and took responsibility for accessories in 1994, later adding menswear. In 2024, as the centenary approached, FENDI introduced a substantial fragrance collection shaped around family stories, Roman places, and the house's material heritage.

Philosophy & Signature Style

FENDI combines craft, material richness, Roman grandeur, and playful intelligence. In fragrance, this means more than placing a logo on a bottle: the scents translate personal memories, family figures, bags, materials, gardens, and landscapes into intimate olfactory portraits. The house describes its origins in fur and leather as a demanding craft that requires humility and respect for the hands working the material. Its fragrance collection continues that attitude through highly concentrated raw ingredients. The fashion vocabulary of texture and construction becomes something close to skin.

Iconic Fragrances

Recent FENDI fragrances include Casa Grande, La Baguette, Sempre Mio, Ciao Amore, and Prima Terra. They refer to family members, Roman origins, and design symbols, presenting scent as another way to tell the house's story. La Baguette, for example, translates the generational meaning of the famous bag through French iris, a perfumer-built leather accord, and Madagascar vanilla. Other compositions evoke private gardens, journeys, and particular people. Together, the perfumes form a family album in scent while retaining the polished material presence expected from a Roman fashion house.
