ESSENZA PULSANTE is an Italian fragrance brand based in Milan. It translates memories of plants and landscapes into scents for both personal wear and the home, connecting aromatic materials with familiar moments in daily life.
History
The house began as YOUFIRST in 2015, founded by Stefania Cuzzeri and Paola Cereda. Friends since university, they had built careers in cosmetics and publishing respectively before developing a project around nature and the time people give to themselves. They introduced fragrances as part of that idea, with Italian production and attention to both scent and presentation. The brand adopted the name ESSENZA PULSANTE for the autumn/winter 2024 season.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The name brings together the Italian words for essence and something that beats or pulses. Its approach values moments in which the scents of nature and memories offer space to turn attention back to oneself. Helichrysum italicum, a Mediterranean plant that bears small golden flowers, is included across the products. The emphasis is on fragrance as part of a personal routine and an encounter with plants and places.
Iconic Fragrances
Basilico recalls hills of basil and sea air on the Ligurian coast. Pomodoro pairs tomato leaf with orange flowers, while Fico explores the leaf, fruit and wood of the fig tree. Each expresses a familiar plant or landscape through a different combination of scent textures.
