Monkeyflower
Yellow wildflowers and fig meet a softer sunscreen accord, with chamomile, musk and hay connecting greener plants to quieter warmth.
Perfumer: Olle Hemmendorff
Monkeyflower Eau de Parfum takes its subject from a flower once prized for a musk-like smell and later said to have lost its fragrance. Stora Skuggan draws on that botanical mystery, associated with its popularity in nineteenth-century Britain, to imagine yellow wildflowers in a sunlit setting. Olle Hemmendorff created the fragrance, released in 2025.
Tussilago and buttercup provide the yellow-flower theme, while fig and goldberry add softer fruit character. A sunscreen accord brings the creamy texture associated with a sun cream. Gentler chamomile, skin-like musk and the drier outline of hay connect brighter petals with warmer surroundings, allowing greener vegetation and cosmetic softness to remain together.
The clear rectangular 30mL bottle carries a large sphere patterned mainly in yellow and green. It suits a mood for brighter plants and flowers with a softer skin-like setting. Rather than focusing on floral sweetness alone, it invites attention to the different textures of grasses, fruit and cream.
