Madison
Black tea and grapefruit with white flowers and woods, inspired by The Bridges of Madison County.
Iced tea on a table and the smell of grass and soil arriving through an open window set the scene for Madison. Inspired by Clint Eastwood's The Bridges of Madison County (1995), it recalls a walk across a meadow on a clear day and a late-summer conversation accompanied by the sound of insects at night.
Black tea's astringency meets the bitter edge of grapefruit and a light touch of cardamom. Jasmine and orange flower bring a soft white-floral character to this bright combination, allowing tea, citrus and blossom to share the composition.
Cedarwood and sandalwood add a dry woody texture, rounded by the warmth of amber and musk. The house's images of old letters, a sunny garden and a glittering river connect these materials with the atmosphere of a distant memory. The fragrance approaches that remembered landscape through tea, flowers and woods, giving its brightness a quietly nostalgic character.
