66 takes its inspiration from Vincent Gallo's Buffalo '66 (1998). MAGNIFF associates it with a clumsy love story in a rundown town in suburban New York State during the 1990s. The contrast between a rough exterior and a more delicate, tender character beneath it becomes the subject of the scent.
Leather and resinous labdanum give the fragrance its deeper, smoky first impression. A coffee accord brings bitterness alongside the sweetness of tonka bean, while amber adds warmth and woody musk contributes a dry texture. These softer impressions sit within the stronger outline rather than standing apart from it.
The house's accompanying images include old suede, an old car, a motel, pomade and hot cocoa. Worn textures share the scene with a small measure of warmth and comfort. The fragrance develops that relationship through leather, resins, coffee and sweet notes, giving its deliberately rough beginning a gentler character underneath.
