Red Roses
Seven roses with lemon and crushed violet leaves over waxy honeycomb, like a bouquet just brought in from the garden.
Perfumer: Patricia Bilodeau
Red Roses gathers seven roses into a single bouquet. It was released for Valentine’s Day in 1996 and became a mainstay of the Jo Malone London line.
Lemon strikes first, sharp and clear, before the Red Roses accord takes over. The accord is modelled on garden roses cut for a bouquet, layering blooms whose facets run from fruity and citrusy to green and spicy until the heart feels velvety and full. Crushed violet leaves add a sappy, just-picked edge, keeping the flowers fresh and clear.
Honeycomb sits underneath. The honeyed note carries the smooth, waxy feel of beeswax, giving the sweetness a denser texture that settles beneath the rose and lemon.
