Fir & Artemisia arrived in 2024 as a limited-edition cologne within Jo Malone London's holiday collection. Its idea is a contrast: the woodiness of fir and the aromatic bite of artemisia, set against supple leather.
Artemisia leads. A relative of wormwood and mugwort, it brings a bitter, herbal green that feels brisk rather than sweet. Fir takes over at the heart with the dry, needled wood of an evergreen.
Leather forms the base, and its softness is what keeps the composition from turning austere.
