Cypress & Grapevine sets fresh and warm against each other. Cypress opens it with a resinous, aromatic freshness, while amber at the base wraps the composition in woody warmth and a sensual finish.
The grapevine heart is where the two sides meet. It blends cedarwood and vetiver with juicy grape and warm amber. The fruit sits inside the wood instead of floating above it, which gives the scent a rounder middle than its cool opening suggests.
Jo Malone London frames the fragrance around surprise, with Tom Hardy as its face. The campaign speaks of chance encounters, mysterious coincidences and unforeseen change, and the composition follows that idea by starting cool and ending warm.
