Naniwa
Watermelon and citrus meet lotus, daphne and sandalwood, evoking a light-filled afternoon as fruit arrives by boat at Hachikenya.
Perfumer: Atsushi Shimizu
Watermelons arrive by boat at Hachikenya in Naniwa. Atsushi Shimizu draws on Hiroshige's view of boats arriving there, imagining an afternoon filled with water and light. The perfume tells the story of a town receiving fruit grown at Ichioka Shinden through the freshness of watermelon.
Lemon and bergamot brighten the fruit's sweetness. Lotus and daphne form a soft floral middle before sandalwood, musk and amber settle into the base. The structure retains a light waterside impression while giving the later stages a quieter warmth.
Introduced as a limited 50mL eau de parfum in April 2026, Naniwa comes in broad clear glass with a wooden cap and green lettering. It pairs the pleasure of fresh fruit with gentle flowers and woods.
