Sunset Hour

Sunset Hour takes its inspiration from Broome in Western Australia and the sun setting over the Indian Ocean. Perfumer Honorine Blanc builds its fruity gourmand character around the native Desert Peach, or quandong, combining bright fruit with softer, rounded sweetness.

Pear and Italian mandarin accompany a quandong impression with rhubarb-like tartness and a little saltiness. Raspberry adds another sweet and sharp fruit texture, giving the opening a juicy character.

Jasmine sambac brings a fuller floral expression, accompanied by green mango, ginger and creamy coconut. Pink pepper adds a lighter spicy accent, while Australian sandalwood contributes a green, spicy woodiness around the sweeter fruit. Flowers, spice and wood give the fruit theme several different textures.

Salty caramel, vanilla and benzoin from Laos provide a smoother, warmer sweetness. Presented as an eau de parfum with a stated concentration of 20%, Sunset Hour evokes the coast at dusk through the meeting of tart fruit, soft flowers and gourmand materials.
