InCharge Essence d'Eau
A water-based amber floral designed by Diane von Furstenberg, made without drying alcohols.
InCharge Essence d'Eau is a water-based fragrance designed by Diane von Furstenberg for Estée Lauder, and the brand presents it as a first: a formula free of drying alcohols. The suggested gesture is simple. Spray on, blend in, and let it melt away.
Saffron opens alongside bergamot, lemon, mandarin and juniper berry. The warm, slightly leathery character of saffron is sharpened by bright citrus and the cool, coniferous edge of juniper.
The heart combines rose, honeysuckle, violet, orris concrete, mimosa and a kyphi accord. Honeyed floral sweetness meets the powdery texture of orris, drawn from the iris root, while kyphi, named after an incense of ancient Egypt, echoes the fragrance's image of a modern Cleopatra who inspires and leads the world.
Vanilla absolute, white musk and olibanum form the base. Sweet vanilla and clean musk take on a dry, smoky trace of frankincense, completing the vibrant amber floral that the brand describes as a potion of empowerment and confidence.
