Oderose

Oderose takes its cue from Narcissus at the water's edge. Perfumer Philippine Courtière built it around the wish to turn silver into a trail of scent, picturing a rose dipped in metallic sheen rather than simply sweetened. Raspberry opens with a tart, juicy brightness, joined by May rose and a Tarocco orange note rendered as a nature print. In the heart, Damask rose and African geranium bring a green, petal-like crispness, while davana adds a fruity, slightly boozy roundness and cumin a dry, skin-like edge, so the flower feels soft and untamed at once. The base wraps it in Australian sandalwood, cashmeran and Ethiopian frankincense, with ambergris, oakmoss and musks lending a cool, shadowed glow. The house compares it to a concentrated rose water. On skin, it reads as a rose suspended between cool shine and warm skin. Extrait de Parfum at 24%.
