Rose Atlantic is an eau de parfum inspired by the roses growing along the New England coast. Perfumer David Seth Moltz evokes single-petaled rosa rugosa on the dunes and the cool salt breeze that follows the heat of a summer afternoon.
Bergamot and lemon oil open the composition before linden and a rose accord bring the flowers into focus. A green dune-grass note sits alongside them, and muscone, salt water and white moss carry the scent into its quiet finish. The perfumer also connects the scene to childhood ferry rides and Sinatra’s “Summer Wind,” a song he remembers everyone singing on the way home.
