MEM
A 2017 eau de parfum that takes four species of lavender apart and rebuilds them with clay, malt, wax, gasoline and rubber facets.
Perfumer: Antonio Gardoni
MEM, a 2017 eau de parfum, takes lavender apart and reassembles it. Four different species of lavender are layered with clay nuances, toasted malt and the fizz of aldehydes, moving a familiar herb into another texture.
The scent then heads into a rich floral heart. Where lily of the valley, champaca and jasmine gather, MEM sets facets of wax, gasoline and rubber: the most singular turn in its design. Laurel's leafy green, the resins of benzoin and labdanum and the animal shadow of castoreum also pull lavender away from the frame of a clean herb.
