About Serge Majoullier
Serge Majoullier is a French MANE creator who has explored natural materials as both perfumer and researcher of odors. He looks beyond a finished ingredient toward plant, origin, producer, and extraction, seeking a facet not yet available to the formula.
Career
Born in Grasse, Majoullier studied chemistry and economics before joining MANE in analysis and chromatography. Work with essential oils and floral products preceded his move into perfumery, and he served as perfumery director from 1995 to 2002. He then returned his focus to creation while retaining a research role, contributing to supercritical extraction and the development of new natural materials.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Woods and food smells are particular interests, supported by curiosity about growers, processing, and the people at origin. Extraction is not used to standardize nature but to recover textures lost in conventional essential oils. Even rich fruit or gourmand material gains wood, bitterness, and air so it can be worn as three-dimensional fragrance.
Signature Works
