About Leslie Gauthier
Leslie Gauthier is a French perfumer whose education joined research with hands-on practice. Rather than settle quickly into one formulaic style, she developed her olfactory vocabulary through exposure to different markets, locations, and product categories.
Career
Selected for the five-year Symrise Perfumery School program, Gauthier studied materials, formulation, technology, and consumer preferences across several countries and company sites. After completing final examinations and a research project, she was appointed a Symrise perfumer in January 2019. She was introduced as a young talent in the French fine-fragrance team and has continued to build experience in an international creative environment.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Because first-person material remains limited, it is better not to overstate a fixed philosophy. Her work to date suggests space between bright citrus, green herbs, soft woods, and musk, allowing definition to persist without sacrificing lightness. The interest lies in how research-based material knowledge becomes natural movement on skin.
