Career
As a Robertet perfumer based in the orbit of Grasse, Sorsana worked closely with natural raw materials and formulation. During the 1970s he trained Annick Goutal, then moving from music into scent, for roughly four years, transmitting olfactory vocabulary and methods of composition. That apprenticeship became a foundation for her later independent house.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Rather than impose a system from above, the work of learning involved repeatedly smelling flowers, leaves, bark, and citrus and finding words for their differences. Natural materials were understood not as decoration but as living tones whose character varies with origin and harvest.
