About Harry Frémont
Harry Frémont is a French-born Master Perfumer with a long career at Firmenich. Beginning with childhood memories of growing plants in the South of France, he understands fragrance as an emotional medium connecting people with time and place.
Career
After studying biology, Frémont trained in perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles. He worked at Haarmann & Reimer in Paris before joining Firmenich in Geneva in 1987. In 1990 he moved with the company's new creative center to New York and built a long career in the American market. The Fragrance Foundation honored him with its Lifetime Achievement Perfumer award in 2017.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Nature, imagination, and will sit at the center of his practice, with a goal of making luminous, optimistic fragrance from quality ingredients. He also distinguishes conviction from stubbornness and emphasizes listening closely to clients. A material theme remains clear while temperature, cleanliness, and distance from skin are adjusted toward a balance enjoyable to the wearer and to people nearby.
