About Constance Georges-Picot

Constance Georges-Picot is a French perfumer associated with Cosmo International Fragrances. Everyday smells and travel memories inform fragrances that connect with the wearer’s emotions. Her work explores different expressions of flowers, woods and musk, from greener compositions to scents with a more intimate character.

Career

A summer internship after high school introduced her to fragrance materials and the history of perfumery. She studied at ISIPCA, then worked in Paris for seven years before joining Cosmo International Fragrances in Florida in 1997. The company and The Fragrance Foundation have introduced her as a director of fragrance creation, alongside her work composing individual perfumes.

Creative Style & Philosophy

Fresh grapefruit, air after rain, walks in a city or beside the sea, and cooking can all provide starting points. She wears her own creations to assess them on skin and explore the emotions they evoke. Translating remembered moments into fragrance is central to her approach; choosing a perfume is a personal relationship that deserves time.

Signature Works

  • *Missing Person*: Phlur’s fragrance inspired by the remembered scent of a loved one’s skin, combining musk with flowers and softer woods.
  • *Italian Summer Fig*: The Body Shop’s fragrance drawing on ripe figs encountered on the Italian coast, with greener leaves, flowers and the depth of moss and amber.
