About Cécile Hua
Cécile Hua is a French perfumer born in Marseille. With French and Vietnamese roots, she grew up surrounded by artistic family members, and an early fascination with scent developed into a professional vocation. Her background connects technical training with an unusually broad artistic frame of reference.
Career
After studying chemistry, Hua trained at the Givaudan-Roure Perfumery School in Grasse. She worked at Givaudan from 1996 before joining MANE in 2003, building a career across fine fragrance and related categories. In 2003, she received the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award in Fragrance Design.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Hua describes perfumery as a craft of composing directly with raw materials and giving a formula personality and, at times, a personal message. Her documented work often brings lucid citrus, white flowers, musk, and clear woods into balanced structures that are distinctive without losing approachability.
