About Carla Chabert

Carla Chabert is a French perfumer and the daughter of perfumer Jacques Chabert. Fragrance surrounded her from childhood, yet she arrived at the profession through her own fascination with the way both cinema and perfumery combine creative imagination with exacting technique.

Career

She first imagined a future in film direction, documentary, or journalism. A meeting she attended while helping her father changed that course: smelling and discussing fragrance felt instinctive, and she chose to study perfumery. She has since developed an independent voice while also collaborating with Jacques, becoming closely associated with several pillars of the Molton Brown collection.

Creative Style & Philosophy

Colour, photography, and atmosphere often serve as Chabert’s starting points. She translates them into pace and texture: blue becomes the tonic marine clarity of *Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel*, while the flash of pink pepper becomes heat, fruit, flowers, and patchouli in *Fiery Pink Pepper*. Even when her materials are vivid, the finished structure retains transparency, cleanliness, and ease on skin, qualities that keep the narrative from feeling merely illustrative.
