About Antoine Cotton
Antoine Cotton was born in Grasse and grew up in nearby Cabris, in the heart of southern France's perfume region. He trained at Argeville and has created fragrances for ROJA under the guidance of the house's founder, Roja Dove, bringing his own interests in texture and contrasting materials to its established style.
Career
Visits to laboratories and conversations with perfumers helped turn Cotton's curiosity about the industry around him into a choice of career. He studied at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris and completed several internships before beginning as a junior perfumer at Argeville, where experienced colleagues continued his training. His ROJA creations appeared in 2025, opening a collaboration that explores new expressions within the house's existing identity.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Cotton wants fragrance to stir emotion and invite the wearer to make an imagined journey their own. His material interests include incense, leather, ginger, jasmine and vetiver, with attention to the contrasting facets that a single ingredient can reveal. In Isola Verde, he built a tropical impression around vivid guava, flowers and tobacco nuances, treating scent as a combination of visual, tactile and olfactory sensations.
