About AJ Patawaran
AJ Patawaran is a Filipino perfumer and the founder of Ysven. An APF Certified Perfumer, he works in fragrance creation and brand consultancy.
Career
He began in product development and formulation for local personal care and cosmetic brands. Working on these products deepened his interest in perfumery. After years of research and development, he launched Ysven with three original fragrances. Bringing Filipino craftsmanship to a wider audience is also part of his ambition. The house connects his experience in formulation with an interest in telling stories through scent.
Creative Style & Philosophy
As he developed his perfumery practice, Patawaran became increasingly drawn to making cocktails. Layering materials, balancing them and expressing moods or stories connected the two creative interests. Memories of drinks and personal experiences became starting points for playful compositions.

- *Vodka Lime* (Ysven, 2025) — Mint and citrus join cucumber, German chamomile and leather in a crisp cocktail interpretation.
