About Sijichun Tea
Sijichun, often called Four Seasons Spring, is a tea cultivar widely grown in Taiwan and commonly made into oolong. Its name reflects its ability to produce new leaves repeatedly through the year. From tea houses to everyday tea drinks, it is a familiar part of life rather than a subject reserved only for a formal ceremony.
Scent Profile
An open, fragrant floral character meets fresh tea leaves and a gentle fruit-like sweetness. The first impression can be clear and lively, with a more rounded quality lingering afterwards. Its appeal lies in the natural brightness shared by flowers and foliage, giving a perfume a way to feel full and fragrant without relying on a dense roasted note or an overtly sugary effect.
Use in Perfumery
A sijichun accord makes an easy transition between tea and white flowers. Jasmine, magnolia or gardenia can expand the floral character while the tea keeps a sense of air and clarity around it. Cedarwood supplies a quiet outline and musk softens the finish; a delicate iris facet can bring the flowers and tea together with a little powdery texture, suggesting a gentle everyday presence on skin.
