About Orris Fusion

Orris Fusion is a blended material in CPL Aromas' AromaFusion range, bringing an orris impression together with dry woods, cedar-like tones and amber. It is distinct from orris butter obtained from iris rhizomes: its character combines the idea of that powdery flower with a broader woody setting.

Scent Profile

The softly powdered floral impression associated with orris rests against the dryness of cedar and the warmth of amber. Sweet violet and gentle fruit facets soften the wood, creating a contrast between a cool, finely textured flower and a more mellow foundation. Rather than presenting wood as hard or sharply cut, the blend gives it a smoother floral surface without losing its dry outline.

Use in Perfumery

Orris Fusion can bring a woody structure to floral compositions or introduce a softer orris texture into a dry woody accord. Its violet-like sweetness also provides a connection with fruit, helping flowers, woods and fruity effects feel more closely joined. It is useful when a powdery floral impression needs to belong to the larger composition, with the wood and amber supplying depth beneath that delicate surface.
